Hayes Park in Mason
This City Park is located to the right off Columbia as you come in to Mason from the west and cross 127. The sledding hill at Hayes Park is a quick walk from the parking lot, you can't miss it, and is a perfect fit for finding joy in the winter. There's a covered pavilion for those who don't want to sled, and also a playground. Hayes Park has a little bit of something for everyone.
Burchfield Park in Holt
This sledding spot in Holt has two hills! Burchfield Park has a hill available for littler kids and one for those looking for a bigger thrill. Here's what to know: Sledding tubes are $3.00 to rent, and are only available for rent on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The hills are still open at Burchfield Park on other days, but you must bring your own sled. Toboggans, snowboards, and vehicle inner tubes are NOT allowed on the sledding hill. There is also a vehicle entrance fee to come into the park. Burchfield Park does have a concession bar available, so you can warm up after you sled if you forget that thermos of hot cocoa.
Water Tower & Recreation Area in Charlotte
The perfect small town sledding hill! This sledding hill in Charlotte is located at the railroad tracks on Shepherd Street and behind the water tower. It is open any time there is snow.
Victory Park in Albion
A gorgeous setting, this 48 acre park in Albion has a sledding hill that holds an annual cardboard sled competition. There's also a giant wooden playground.
The Cascades in Jackson
The colorful waterfall provides entertainment for all in the summer, but did you know that the Cascades in Jackson are open for sledding in the winter? Grab your sled and hike up the hill for a thrill.
